so here’s the thing – beer is good. beer should be celebrated and, when possible, consumed on a daily basis. that’s my motto anyway.
given my fondness for beers, it only made sense that i’d go to the great american beer festival again this year. i’m not going to get into the details about the festival itself because, i mean, they have their own site for that. all i’ll say is that it’s the largest beer festival in the united states, and there are a ton of breweries and beer there (or a “shit ton” of beers if you’re darin).
i’ve only been to gabf one other time and i was a volunteer. basically that means that the $55 admission is waved and you pour beers all night, but you get to drink’em too. it was a lot of fun.
fortunately this year the gabf also coincided with a poder reunion in denver, which made the whole thing all the better. unfortunately, i was pretty sick with some sort of stomach flu or something, so that sucked. it was bad. to the extent that i didn’t know if i’d be able to make it. but i soldiered through it and had a great night.
i could keep rambling, but i won’t. i’ll just reiterate my main point – if you like beer, you should be at the gabf next year. just sayin.
