a16 food + wine

grabbed this book from the library last month. it focuses on the food of the campania region and southern italy. there is a bunch of info on wine too but there’s just something about reading about all of the details and specifics of wine that always looses me. i like to drink it. but i don’t need to know much else about it to enjoy it.

what’s rad: i like how they break down the basic ingredients in total detail and explain why they use what they do as well as alternatives/subs if you’re not able to grab what they use/suggest. also love the photography throughout.

what’s not rad: i just saw the head cheff former head chef and author nate appleman on the food network for “the next iron chef” challenge and from what i saw in that ep, the dude has a major attitude. basically a super cocky dick. but hey, first impression. could be wrong. either way, took a little out of my appreciation for the book. damn.
