i work at a large tech company and we’ve got a big pending acquisition going on with the potential for huge layoffs. layoffs are common in tech, and i’ve gone nearly 10 years without being affected, but it’s more of a reality today than ever before. and while i’m not necessarily prepared or WANT to loose my job, i don’t fear it either. i have no idea why, but i just feel that opportunity can come from change, and while the idea itself can be scary, you don’t need to fear that kind of stuff. you just move on. roll with it.
so when i came across the trailer for the lemonade movie, i was inspired by the message it sends. the movie specifically focuses on advertising professionals that lost jobs, but the message is true no matter what your industry or trade.
